Jackie’s Story
As much as I love to write…as much as I love words….I ALWAYS struggle when it comes to telling “my story” or drafting a BIO.
It’s not that I don’t know who I am. I do. However, the thing that trips me up is, what about who I am is beneficial to those who visit this site? And then it comes to me…until I share who I am and my experiences, how will you know. Gotta love those “light bulb” moments right?
For those of you who aren’t familiar with me, my name is Jackie (or ‘MsJayye’ to many of my friends/acquaintances).
Who am I? A woman who is constantly growing, challenging myself in every way. Learning. Unlearning. Intent on putting my best out into the Universe – clearing any and all hurdles (real, imagined…self-constructed…) so that I can truly LIVE OUT LOUD…ON PURPOSE.
For years, I struggled with not “knowing” my purpose, not being sure of who I am and what I was meant to do with my life. For many years after I “knew” (or let myself remember), I still lived as though I didn’t know, running from it, denying purpose. This knowing but not doing led to much unrest in my life. My mind. My heart. My spirt.
I was living so incongruently to the person I knew I was at my core. Living small. Trying not to draw attention to myself. Not believing I was enough (there’s a GREAT blog post about “Enough” under the ‘Vintage Jayye” tag). Sleepwalking through life.
I can’t pinpoint a specifc “Wake-Up call” that pushed me to truly take action, to own who I was and WHY I was. There have been many. (Thankfully they continue to come.
I say all of that to say this:
I am a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, relative, poet, writer, blogger, coach, speaker, music lover, tea aficianado, avid reader, shower singer, candle lover, crafty chick, shoenista, and reformed lover of jellybeans (still love them…just from a distance).
More importantly, I am…a light bearer…a truth seeker…a truth speaker…conscious creation…a student of life…a lover of Love…a work in progress.
I am – as you are – my own EVOLUTION…REVOLUTION…REVELATION…
I believe that, just as you are here in this life FOR, ON, BY and WITH Purpose, you are also on this site for the same reasons.
I believe that my story is similar enough to your sto allow us to connect and resonate yet different enough that we can help each other grow in areas that aren’t the most familiar or comfortable to us.
It is my sincere hope that you are comfortable enough in your journey to share, to offer guidance, to laugh, to love, to live…deeper…richer…more SOULFULLY
